About Dr. Cassie Torhorst
I grew up in Southern Wisconsin with a strong interest in horses. My mom jokes that "horse" was my first word, but I am skeptical... Throughout my childhood we had our horses at the farm and rode daily. I was able to take part in the US Pony Club, FFA, and local horse organizations. Eventing was my main discipline, and I competed through veterinary school, although it did become sparse.
After veterinary school, where I focused on equine medicine, I completed a 1 year equine internship at Anoka Equine in Minnesota. There I focused on sports medicine, emergency work, surgery, and preventative medicine. Following, I moved back home and began at Lodi Veterinary Care in Wisconsin. At this time, I also attended the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA). This sparked my strong interest in integrative therapies. I then attended Healing Oasis to attain my Certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation (CVSMT). I have used both of these modalities in gazillions of patients with great success. I love being able to combine conventional medicine with the tools of acupuncture and chiropractic therapies. It is truly the best of both worlds!

In April of 2017, my husband, Nick, and I moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We fell in love with the area and have enjoyed getting to know the cascades and Puget Sound! We love spending time hiking, backpacking, fishing, and exploring. I still am an active rider and have competed in Working Equitation and Eventing.
